Announcements:

3rd F at Java Burrito Tues at 0755. Read chapter 3.

2nd F, 8/13

Bill Russell was the 1st black head coach in any of the major sports. In a span of 15 years he won 14 championships, either NCAA, Olympic or NBA. He AVERAGED 22.5 rebounds a game for his career. While never a very high scoring player, he changed the game with his defense and team-first attitude which are both driven by making the choice to do the hard thing and sacrifice for the greater good. He made the choice to work hard, to do the hard things which made his TEAM better. We need to make the choice to do the hard things each day.

Prayers:

  • For Carter’s continued healing and peace during this challenging time
  • For Goose’s continued healing.
  • For peace of mind for Minivan and Linda in the lead-up to the wedding.
  • Thankfulness that we get to come out and push ourselves and each other to prepare us/each other for God’s work in our lives.
  • Unspoken

Moleskin:

  • Total of each exercise in 11’s is 55…the same # as the win streak Russell had while playing in college.
  • Thank you Radar for suggesting we rifle carry the blocks. Well done and well received.
  • Lateral movement is very important as you age.
  • You should be peeing 22 times a day. YHC has that covered.
  • It’s getting hot out there fella’s…hydrate or die. Seriously, drink water throughout the day.
  • #Nofnslack

It gets said each time but it is truly an honor and privilege to take the Q and lead you men and I know I get pushed beyond my comfort zone each time I do. Thank you for the opportunity.

Bartman, out!
