WARMUP:  SSHx20ic, Imperial Walkers (10ic), Ski Jumpsx10ic

WORKOUT:  Today we all picked someone, past or present, who inspires us and motivates us to be the best version of ourselves.  We dedicated today’s workout to them and to being someone we look to for inspiration and motivation.

Run short Loop, stop at pavilion for 20 Merkins, 20 Dips, 20 AMERICAN hammers.

Back to fountain.  Form two teams.  Stay behind blue line.  Start an exercise.  Q plays a cover song.  Once a member identifies the name of the cover song (inspired by the original artist), they stop doing the exercise, switch to doing 3 burpees, then run and tag the Q.  First person to tag the Q and give the correct song title wins a point for their team.

Song#1:  Sympathy for the Devil / Freedom Dub.  Everyone starts by doing squats.

  • Team 1 guessed the song title:  As a team, run to pavilion, 15 merkins, run back.
  • Team 2 lost:  10 burpees then BBS until Team 1 returns.

Song #2:  Ring of Fire / Social Distortion.  Everyone does LBCs.

  • Team 1 guessed the song title:  Run to pavilion, 15 crunchy frogs, run back.
  • Team 2 lost:  10 ski jumps then J-Los until Team 1 returns.

Song #3:  Sweet Child of Mine / Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox.  Everyone does Derkins.

  • Team 1 guessed the song title:  Run to pavilions, 15 dips, run back
  • Team 2 lost:  10 burpees then LBCs until Team 1 returns.

Commissioner Clancy makes team adjustment:  Nae Nae moved from Team 1 to Team 2.  Bartman motioned to protest.  Protest recognized; motion denied.

Song #4:  Beat it / Fall out Boy, John Mayer.  Everyone does BBS.

  • Team 1 lost:  10 ski jumps then lunges until Team 2 returns.
  • Team 2 guessed the song title:  Run to pavilions, 15 American hammers, run back.

Song #5:  Gin and Juice / The Gourds.  Everyone does dips.

  • Team 1 lost:  40 mountain climbers then crunchy frog until Team 2 returns.
  • Team 2 guessed the song title:  Run to pavilion, 15 Derkins, run back.

Song #6:  Every Little Thing She Does is Magic / Ra.  Everyone does merkins.

  • Team 1 lost:  40 mountain climbers then squats until Team 2 returns.
  • Team 2 guessed the song title:  Run to pavilion, 10 BBS, run back.

Song #7:  I’m a Believer / Smash Mouth.  Everyone does J-Los.

  • Team 1 lost:  10 ski jumps then merkins until Team 2 returns.
  • Team 2 guessed the song title:  Run to pavilion, 15 squats, run back.

Team #2 won 4-3.  They chose option #1:  run to playground, 10 pull-ups, 10 ski jumps, run back.

Team #1 was given what was behind door (option) #2:  full body stretch.

Return as a group:  50 crunchy frogs, 20 pickle pointers, 20 pickle pounders, small loop run.  Return to flag.
