Iron Pax Challenge Week 1: Revenge of the Murder Bunnies

This is the fourth year @F3Greenwood has done the IPC and frankly, you would have thought they’d come up with something that sucked worse than this morning’s workout. But four years in… here we are:

Weather: 78 and humid has Hades

PAX: Bartman (r), Ambien (r), JV, Minivan (r), Radar, Earhart, Hardhat, Squid (r), Spaghetti Ohs!, and YHC, Schnitzel (r) with the Q. (I seem to recall the count being 11, but (for some reason) I can’t recall anyone else… maybe because I suffered brain damage??

The time for practice is over. Let the games begin. And we figured there’s no better way to kick off the challenge then to bring back the bunnies. The man behind the bunny, Crayola, has spent the past year torturing us with variations of the bunny and we didn’t want the rest of the nation to feel left out, so we included one in this week’s workout.

Some numbers first. We currently have 3606 PAX registered representing 143 regions. 2091 PAX got some practice in last week by finishing Capoot. We are hoping for at least 3000 completions of week 1 this week. Remember, ScarU is providing suggestions on how to modify the workout so all men can participate. There is nothing wrong with modifying the work. It’s You vs You. Keep pushing yourself. Making yourself better.

Revenge of the Bunnies

Format – 3 rounds for time• Measure out 800 meters or 2 laps around a standard track. Measure out 25 yards (using a football field would help significantly).

The Thang

Round 1 800 meter run 25 yard murder bunny 10 shoulder tap merkins (merkin-tap each shoulder is one rep) 25 yard reverse murder bunny 20 blockees with a thruster 25 yard murder bunny 10 shoulder tap merkins (merkin-tap each shoulder is one rep) 25 yard reverse murder bunny

Round 2 800 meter run 25 yard murder bunny 10 shoulder tap merkins (merkin-tap each shoulder is one rep) 25 yard reverse murder bunny 20 horizontal burpee block jumpover (20 total jumps). Block is laying flat. You can jump over the block to the side. Or to the front. 25 yard murder bunny 10 shoulder tap merkins (merkin-tap each shoulder is one rep) 25 yard reverse murder bunny

Round 3 800 meter run 25 yard murder bunny 10 shoulder tap merkins (merkin-tap each shoulder is one rep) 25 yard reverse murder bunny 20 vertical burpee block jumpover (20 total jumps). Block is standing up on one end. You can jump over the block to the side. Or to the front. 25 yard murder bunny 10 shoulder tap merkins (merkin-tap each shoulder is one rep) 25 yard reverse murder bunny.

Bartman absolutely blasted this workout at something like 34 minutes! Attaboy, Bartman!!

There’s no excuses now, Pax. If that’s all the suck they can come up with, this year’s IPC is gonna be a cinch! If you send me your times, I’ll try to get them posted if their web site will allow. If not, you have the interweb, too, so get off your murder bunny butt and do it yourself. Meanwhile, I’ll drizzle a little vodka (the good stuff) over my body to heal up the wounds and drink whatever might roll off. If you find me in the fetal position, crying…. just…. walk away.
